No idea what's got him so miffed.

As mentioned in the previous post, currently working on trying to develop a more personalized style for drawing the 2003 turtles. Very happy with how the proportions and lineart came out for this one; hoping to work more on things like the anatomy and details as I keep going. (And get better at drawing the joint pads. I hate drawing the joint pads...)

Ah, the joys of drawing your blorbos when you're half asleep at 3 AM.

Anyway, long story short, I'm slowly but surely trying to develop my own way to draw the 2003 turtles. Although I'm still using more organic, round shapes similar to what was seen in the style from the first five seasons, I'm trying to utilize proportions similar to Fast Forward/Back to the Sewer, which... I think the specific term is a "swimmer's build?" While still very muscular, the turtles are noticeably slimmer than the earlier seasons with a combination of broad shoulders, narrow hips, and longer limbs. Much experimentation is still needed, unfortunately, but at least I've got a start XD

Notes
  • My current handle, SpringSodas, was established only a couple of months ago--prior, I had gone as "TinyLantern" and then "Thunderberryz," with most images seen here containing one of my two original signatures/waterwarks.
  • In addition, I started drawing fanart of the 2003 turtles early in 2024, with the oldest three images all being from July of that year. Crazy to see how far I've come since then...
  • The turtle with the green headband kissing Leo's brow is my OC, Cecilia Ascari. She was originally a human who ends up transformed into a humanoid turtle after certain events within her story--although she and Leo are depicted as having a gentle, intimate relationship here, they, uh... do go through a lot to get to where they are now.
  • Likewise, the girl with gray fur and pointed ears is another OC, Iseult Lanigera. I plan to make posts detailing both her and Cecilia's complete profiles at a later date.

Also, some mumbling from me, but so far figuring out Dreamwidth is... interesting. There's a lot of the site I've already made sense of, but there's also plenty I haven't.
